Sibang cove is probably one of the best unspoiled beach in the Philippines. What I love about this place is the soft powdery white sand, the crystal clear waters and the fact that the place is so remote.
Getting there is only part of the adventure – a 600 km road trip to Aparri, Cagayan and the wild 5-hour boat ride in the open seas where the Pacific Ocean and China Sea meet. Whether you take the big outriggered boats locally known as lampitaw or the Eagle Ferry, make sure you keep your eyes on the open sea for a chance to see humpbacks or dolphins.
When you get to Calayan, you will be tempted to jump off the boat to cool down on the refreshing clear waters right in front of the town center where the ferry docks.
Sibang Cove is located east of the town – you may take a kuliglig or a 30-minute banca ride to get there.
Be prepared to rough it out and be one with nature when you get to Sibang Cove – bring your camping gear, prepare your own meals, spend time star gazing & sleep under the clear evening skies.
